Description

The Cross Kites Pro Hornet is a 4-line all-rounder for land-based traction sports, stable, predictable, and equally at home behind a buggy, on a landboard, or out on the snow.

The rear lines do far more than just turn the kite. Small changes in brake input change how much pull you're generating, where the kite sits in the wind window, and how precisely you can place it, giving you real control over the ride rather than just steering.

An A, B, C, and brake bridle layout spreads the load across the whole chord of the kite, so the brakes shape the canopy rather than simply tugging the trailing edge. Paired with a reflexed profile, this keeps the kite's flying shape controlled while holding onto the stability the Hornet is known for.

Flown on 4-line handles, both hands work independently, giving direct access to the front and rear lines for steering, slowing, repositioning, and dosing power exactly how you want it. It's the most complete way to fly, especially useful in a buggy or on a board where you don't always want maximum pull.

The canopy uses a lightweight 40D nylon shell with stronger 70D polyester internal profiles, paired with a low-stretch Dyneema bridle and SK75 Dyneema flying lines, both with stitched terminations for a clean, consistent connection. Mesh-covered air intakes help keep the leading edge controlled, and an internal dirt channel lets sand move towards the tips for easy cleaning.

Constructed using water repellent Mirai fabric, for the top and bottom skins means you can fly knowing the Cross Kites Pro Hornet is protected against the elements (including UV) prolonging its life. Graphics on the top and bottom skins means it looks excellent too!

Dyneema Flying Lines & Bridle:

Dyneema flying lines are reinforced with stitched sleeving. All coloured bridles lines are stitched to reduce drag, which ensures your kite always maintains its shape and also prevents tangles when flying.

Reinforcements:

Reinforced leading and trailing edges, along with the use of heavy duty material on the ribs, makes sure the Cross Kites Pro Hornet is strong and robust enough to withstand hard ground impacts! Double sewn bottom skin and back-tacked bridle tabs ensure extra durability and strength, making certain the kite is reinforced where it's needed.

Profile & Aspect Ratio:

The D-ribbed centre section of the Hornet increases the smooth, clean shape of the canopy to optimise speed and eliminate distorting without the use of extra bridles.
