Description

The Ensis Double Ace is a full double-skin canopy race boom wing with Dyneema airframe for advanced to expert – for maximum race performance.

The Double Ace is loaded with features designed to help you be the fastest on the water. Every detail of the wing has been developed for optimum aerodynamic efficiency. With a full double skin canopy, a unique Ensis Ram Air Intake System, and the most advanced airframe to date made with Dyneema, the Double Ace is designed for riders pushing race performance to the limit while meeting the demands of competitive Formula Wing racing.

The result is a wing that delivers excellent upwind angles, strong downwind performance, and serious speed across the course.

RAM Air Intake System:

The Ensis Ram Air Intake System is one of a kind. The inlets act as one way air intakes that maintain optimal pressure between the canopy layers. As soon as back pressure builds, the inlets close, helping preserve internal pressure and keeping the wing profile clean and stable. This system also helps prevent water from filling the inside of the canopy during crashes. If water does enter the wing, the integrated drainage system allows it to escape through openings positioned at the bottom of the strut and in the wingtips, helping ensure quick recovery on the water.

World Sailing approved:

The Double Ace is a registered series production wing under World Sailing regulations, making it eligible for use at IWSA Formula Wing events and international wingfoil racing competitions.

Highly efficient:

The full double-skin canopy, the carefully positioned Ram Air inlets, and slim leading-edge diameter all work together to reduce drag and improve aerodynamic efficiency and maximize forward drive.

Fast:

A highly streamlined shape and rigid high-performance airframe help the Double Ace accelerate quickly, especially during race start and acceleration, and maintain speed with ease.

Extreme angles:

The double skin design improves airflow stability, helping you achieve excellent upwind and downwind angles around the course.

Broad wind range:

The efficient profile and rigid airframe help the wing stay composed across a broad usable wind range, giving you more control in changing conditions.

Impressive low weight:

Despite its advanced construction, the Double Ace remains impressively light. The internal canopy uses very lightweight materials, keeping total weight comparable to many single skin wings.

The high-performance Dyneema airframe allows for outstanding stiffness at low weight, helping the Double Ace hold its shape and perform at the highest level.

Powerband reinforcement:

A carbon stringer along the leading-edge increases rigidity, allowing for a very slim leading-edge diameter without sacrificing structural stability.

Water drainage system:

An integrated drainage system at the bottom of the strut and wingtips helps water exit the wing quickly after crashes, improving recovery and ease of use on the water.
