Description

For big air fanatics and radical kiteloopers who demand maximum performance – the Flysurfer ERA V2 launches you to new heights. Flysurfer's most advanced tube kite is fine-tuned for uncompromising high-wind performance and leads the pack with record breaking jumps. Optimized for maximum airtime and extreme loops, it’s built for riders aiming to compete at the top.

It is a fast flying, 5 strut kite with very intuitive handling. The 5 struts make for a rigid airframe that is responsive and has loads of depower. The streamlined high PSI leading edge helps the kite charge forwards generating loads of power.

Dare to dream big!

Uncompromising Big Air

Maximum boost, precise control, and radical loops. With extended top-end, explosive lift, and impressive hangtime, you’ll have more airtime to showcase your best tricks. The second lift allows for smooth landings after megaloops, while the refined bridle ensures agility and stability in all conditions.

High Performance Freeride:

Want to push in every corner of the wind window? The ERA V2 rewards your effort with direct bar feedback and sporty handling. Perfect for advanced riders who crave controlled power and that next-level adrenaline rush – whether at your local spot or in Cape Town conditions.

Hydrofoil Freestyle:

Experienced hydrofoilers benefit from the responsiveness and flight speed of the ERA V2. Use its acceleration to play with gusts, practice loops, and evolve your style. Especially in stronger winds, this kite shows its full potential.

Accessibility:

Despite its high performance, the ERA V2 remains accessible: direct bar feedback, precise control, and improved depower – even in strong winds. Ideal for hardcore big air riders and experienced freeriders looking to level up.

Turning Ability:

The kite responds instantly to input, initiates turns early at the wingtips, and maintains a consistent arc. It accelerates aggressively in gusts, flying closer to the edge of the wind window – delivering both speed and precise timing for take-offs.

Confidence:

Whether it’s a 40 knot storm or a double loop into the horizon, the ERA V2 is your tool for extreme Big Air sessions. It combines explosive lift with pinpoint control, giving you confidence in brutal conditions. Tested and tuned in Cape Town by our top athletes – ready for anything you throw at it.

Reliable Downlooping:

The second lift during downloops is a highlight – thanks to the new outline, the kite generates lift at the critical moment before landing, allowing for controlled landings even after huge airs.

Features
  • Swept Back Outline - The key redesign feature is a more swept-back outline. The newly shaped wingtip curves noticeably improve recovery after jumps by creating a second lift, enhance depower capability, and result in smoother, more controlled turning.
  • High Aspect Ratio - The aspect ratio was increased from 5.1 to 5.5 – 5.9. The result: significantly more hangtime, better vertical lift, and a longer, more efficient flight path.
  • Steep Arc - The optimized arc with a pronounced C-shape gives the kite an aggressive profile for precise steering and clean power delivery. Reinforcements and attachment points have been redesigned to save weight without sacrificing durability – perfect for intense high-wind sessions.
  • Durable Materials - The ERA² relies on proven premium materials like Dacron and Teijin D2. Fewer panels mean reduced weight and improved airflow over the canopy. The result is a powerful, efficient kite with long-lasting structure – built for maximum stress at peak performance.

Control Bar

The Flysurfer Force Control Bar: safe, durable and functional.  With its straight-forward, user-friendly system and premium materials, it offers exceptional safety and reliability, even in the harshest conditions. This versatile, one size fits all control bar is engineered for outstanding functionality and durability, keeping pace with your progression.

The Force Control Bar glides along the PU-coated depower lines smoothly transmitting the power of the kite. The Force winders are heavily padded to protect you and your equipment. The click of a button releases the bar width adjusters and steering line length adjusters.

Twist to change the bar width, or move the knots up and down to adjust the steering line length. The single piece moulding of the bar ends and floaters prevents lines getting caught and minimises risk of injury.

When it comes to safety, Flysurfer make no compromises. Flysurfer relies on their tested and proven QR 4.0. In order to satisfy the demands of a wide range of users,  the Force bar is available in three different sizes. Functional, customisable, sturdy and safe, experience a new riding experience with the Force Control Bar!

Link Quick Release:

The body of the Link Quick Release is made of durable and lightweight materials known for their excellent wear, tear, and corrosion resistance properties. It features an integrated ball-bearing swivel system that allows unrestricted rotation, minimizing resistance and friction. The intuitive click-in mechanism of the chicken loop increases user-friendliness. The ISO certified push-away Quick Release is fully functional in warm, cold, sandy, and wet conditions.

Modular Eyelet:

The bar shaft of the FORCE Control Bar can be switched from automatic to manual untwisting. Remove two metal pins in the center of the shaft, at the stainless steel eyelet, using an Allen key. The advantages of depower lines guided without a line separator are increased longevity due to reduced wear and maximum freedom when steering and depowering simultaneously. Flysurfer recommend this option for technically complex big air tricks or board-offs with multiple rotations.

Best Protection:

Safety and longevity are two key requirements for the Force Control Bar. Robust EVA padded winders and PU-coated depower lines allow for precise guiding and smooth turning of the barstick with minimal wear and tear. The easily replaceable insert of the One-Hole Eyelet is designed to wear instead of the depower line, making it cheaper and easier to maintain your bar after countless hours on the water.

Force Winder:

The Force winders are made of fibreglass reinforced polyamide and covered with moulded EVA padding to protect them and you. The centre kernel can be removed at the touch of a button to gain access to the bar width adjustment options. This allows you to adjust bar width to suit your personal preference and the kite you are using. There are also steering line length adjustment options.

Chicken Loop and Stick:

The small chicken loop is standard on the Force Control Bar and designed for hooked-in riding styles. The intelligently designed stick is flexible and secures the chicken loop to the harness hook. It is tested and proven in deep temperatures and avoids unintentional unhooking.
