Ozone have taken the most powerful elements of race kite design and re-tuned them to suit a wider range of riders, delivering rocket-fuelled big air twin-tip performance and fluid, high-speed riding on a hydrofoil. Developed from the R1 V4 and Chrono DNA, the Mach 1 sets a new benchmark for freeride performance possibilities, especially in lighter winds.

Big Air Capabilities:

Experience real high performance without the complexity of a full race kite. The Mach 1 naturally boosts higher with minimal input, with significantly increased hangtime compared to tube kites.

Foiling Adaptability:

Functions seamlessly across different hydrofoil sizes. Shorter lines (17m) provide more direct handling, while longer lines (using the 4m extensions, making a line length of 21m) offer extra power.

Responsive yet Stable Turns with more power due to the higher aspect ratio, making it ideal for controlled boosts and high-speed runs.

Great Depower:

The Mach 1’s efficient rotation benefits its ability to depower through a wide range of angle-of-attack changes.

User Experience:

DESIGNED IN THREE SETS OF SIZES:

The Mach 1 has been paired in three sets relating to the performance needed in different wind conditions.

15 + 18m Very powerful light wind kites, still capable of a great big air experience.

11 + 13m Offering more manoeuvrability and playfulness. Superb big air in lightwinds, huge hangtimes and extremely wide wind range.

7 + 9m These sizes are more based on the Chrono lower aspect design, compared to the bigger Mach 1 sizes, which have the higher-aspect R1 V4 shape. Being smaller, the 7 and 9m are for use in stronger winds and have a crazy ability to manage power. They also offer more manoeuvrability for freeride hydrofoiling. So these retain the Chrono’s smaller size, superb ease- of-use and kite looping ability.

Ozone Foil Control Bar:

The Ozone Foil Control System offers the latest in safety features, a clean control bar design and a simple easy-to-use trimming system.

Easy to Grab Stall Handle:

Making self landing, reverse launch and inflation easier. Always use the brake handle when flying a foil kite. The brake handle is removeable to use the control system with an inflatable kite.

Push Away Quick Release:

The control system features a new Megatron pushaway quick release safety with total flag out of the kite. The release handle is ergonomic with positive release forces (under 8kg) allowing for quick and easy release. Simple re-assembly saves time and gets you back up and riding faster.

Two Safety Modes:

The loop offers riders a choice of two safety modes, the recommended standard safety or the optional Suicide safety.

The standard Flag out safety offers 100% flag out in all situations by releasing the loop or letting go of the bar when un-hooked.

The Suicide option offers 100% flag out only when the loop is released whilst hooked in, allowing riders practicing handle passes to let go of the bar with out flagging the kites safety (not recommended).

Anti-twist 100% Flag Out Line:

The flag out line running through the loop and safety leash attachment at the bottom keeps the leash tangle free when doing rotations and manually unwinding the centre lines using the Spinning Handle.

Soft Bar Ends with Hide-away Elastic Line Retainers:

Soft bar ends for comfort and are less likely to damage lightly constructed boards. Hide-away elastic line retainers keep wound lines secured.

Stainless Steel Leader Line Pin:

Superior strength is achieved with a Stainless pin running through the bar. This creates an ultra strong and direct connection between the control bar to flying lines.

Low Friction Centre Piece:

The control bar features a low friction aluminum centre piece designed to reduce trim line wear.

Auto Positioning Chicken Loop:

Designed in conjunction with the bar centre piece, the Megatron spinning handle allows chicken loop auto positioning, offering easy unhooked riding and hooking back in.
