The Duotone Whip D/Lab has an incredible performance packed into a small shape perfect for attacking small to medium-sized waves and strapless freestyle.Built into a premium D/LAB construction that brings another level of performance and durability.
The key feature of the new D/Lab construction is the new Reflex Memory Foam Shock Absorber on the deck of the board, making D/Lab boards feel incredibly more responsive on the water, even compared to SLS boards. Notably lighter than a Cork Shock Absorber, the RMF also boasts key technical benefits including the magical property of memory.
If you land hard from your freestyle tricks and put a small dent in the deck, it will over time gradually push the dent out to its original shape and your board will stay looking like new for longer. Additionally, the superior vibration damping of the RMF makes it feel as if you’re riding on a cushion of air by reducing the high frequency chatter through the chop.
This incredibly smooth ride inspires confidence in your riding when attacking the lip and landing airs because you know your board will absorb the shock and deliver top notch performance without sacrificing durability.
It is an exceptionally well-balanced board with incredible handling, thanks to the straight outline and parallel rails. It provides explosive snap off the top and has a fantastic ability to turn really tight in the pocket of the steepest sections. It never catches a rail or stalls and has a fluid feel underfoot when you are riding, which is sure to engage even the most discerning of kiteboarders.
When you want to take off, you’ll find the flex offers a good pop, and the compact shape makes it easy to control in the air with a low swing weight. Comfortable in a wide range of conditions, this makes a perfect one-board quiver for the rider who wants to push the limits on the waves and in the air.
Compact Surf Shape:
The D/Lab Series incorporates the new Compact Surf Concept making it shorter and more manoeuvrable. The new compact shape means there is far less swing weight when you ride the board. This gives you far more control when performing aerial tricks, but also improved handling when snapping off the tops of the waves.
The compact shape lets you stand more centered on the board, giving you more balance in all situations and allowing you to have total control over the whole length of your board. A straighter rail line also equals more stability in chop even at high speeds while the flat rockers generates and carries the speed offering a superior glide.
