Cross Kites Pro Hype Play

The Crosskites Pro Hype Play is a 2-line kite flown on control straps, simple and direct, with very little between the pilot and the kite. Available in five sizes, 1.3, 1.6, 1.9, 2.2, and 2.5, with a consistent step between each, giving a clear progression for choosing the right kite for the pilot and the conditions.

Every size is designed separately rather than scaled from one master shape, with cell count increasing in steps through the range, keeping the smaller sizes light and simple while the larger sizes hold their canopy shape cleanly under higher loads.

The 1.3 suits younger or smaller pilots, staying manageable in most conditions while turning fast and lively in stronger wind, good fun for experienced flyers too. Moving up the range, the larger sizes generate more pull and a more physical experience, with the 2.2 and 2.5 producing serious power in a strong breeze while keeping the predictable steering that defines the Hype.

The canopy uses a lightweight 40D nylon shell with stronger 70D polyester internal profiles, paired with a low-stretch Dyneema bridle and Dyneema flying lines, all with stitched terminations for a clean, consistent connection. Control straps are padded for comfort, with heavier padding on the largest size where loads increase.

• Colour-coded pigtails make setup and untangling easy.
• A Velcro loop at the trailing edge keeps the bridle organised when packing away.
