The Duotone Downwinder Air is the travel friendly and ding resistant board featuring a stretched pin-tail design for efficient glide, instant acceleration, and take-off speed.Β
The Downwinder Air models are reduced in weight and features making the board weights comparable to their composite siblings. This makes them easy to paddle up for SUP Downwinders and incredibly efficient for light wind Wing Foiling.
Available in three dedicated shapes in 6β10ββ x 20β (105l), 7β4ββ x 21β (115l) and 7β10ββ x 22.5β (125l).
The rocker line has been tested across a spectrum of conditions from flatwater to substantial ocean swells and demonstrates exceptional adaptability and reliability. With great stiffness from the light fusion technology and our solid carbon plate, thereβs hardly any distortion to the boards shape.
Pumping through flat sections is surprisingly easy with the Downwinder Air, making it a real alternative to our high-end composite models when you donβt have the car, the storage or the budget for the Downwinder SLS β or you simply want to travel easy.
The Fusion Laminated Drop Stitch technology is the industryβs leading construction process for high end inflatable boards. The Fusion technology uses only one base cloth layer, that is sealed or βfusedβ using Liquid PVC creating a reinforced material that is water and airtight. Thanks to this new process less layers are required eliminating the need of a hand laid PVC layer to the outer core fabric. Lighter than traditional Drop Stitch material Fusion Laminated Drop Stich allows for a smoother finish that you can see and feel. Not only does it enable weight reduction, but it also contributes to a stronger and stiffer board that performs better even at lower inflation pressures.
Duotone boards achieve exceptional durability through a heat-welding process on the rails that mechanically bonds the top and bottom layers. This method eliminates the need for glue along the rails, preventing any leakage, and ensures unmatched strength and durability.
