The Slingshot Asylum delivers fast top-end speeds, aggressive edging and smooth load and pop, making this an ideal board for progressive and aggressive freestyle and freeriding. It features the most rocker of any board in Slingshot's kiteboarding line.

A hard-charging freestyle favourite, the Asylum V6 is a performance board loaded with cutting-edge design features for aggressive riders who like to GO big, ride fully powered and push the limits in the name of progression.

The Asylum’s flex has been optimized with a new dual stitched carbon stringer, which delivers massive pop and outstanding flex/rebound characteristics. Tip/tail channels and chined rails offer all the drive you need for upwind performance, as well as insane tracking through all water conditions.

However you choose to ride your Asylum (it’s engineered to ride with or without fins), rest assured the ASYLUM is backed by Slingshot’s legendary construction and durability.

Slingshot Dually Pad System:

The Dually pad and strap system includes an advanced dual density ergonomic pad. The new footstrap offers dual zonal technology with 4x4 micro adjustability. Micro adjustment can be used to customize the fore and aft positioning at 4 different points.

The Dually also offers 4 vertical points of adjustment for a customized fit to the contour of your foot.

The possibilities for a custom fit are controlled exclusively by the rider for maximum comfort and control. In addition the Dually includes our new bolt-on baseplate.

It mounts easily to your board and offers limitless duck and stance options.

Technology

Dual Stitched Carbon Stringer:

Full tip to tail Carbon Stringer adds overall stiffness for improved response and increased pop. This Carbon also keeps the flex profile dimensionally stable for a consistent ride for the lifetime of the board.

Precision Laser Cut Channels:

These help for cleaner takeoffs, smoother landings, better response, tons of grip, load and pop, and upwind drive.

Chined Plane Rails:

Designed to completely redirect spray away and down, these belly channels reduce the area of contact between the board and the surface of the water. They help prevent catching an edge on fast and sketchy landings.

Continuous Rocker:

A smooth, consistent curve provides a fast ride, predictable pop, great carving performance and disperses water to soften landings.

Dura Light Base:

This 0.2mm base material is the ideal strength to weight ratio. Lightweight performance in a strong and durable package.

Fusion Sidewalls:

Transferring the same technology found in high durometer urethane skateboard wheels into the rail of Slingshot boards. This innovative manufacturing process literally infuses the rail into the board cores in one single shot, producing unrivaled dampening and durability.

Carbon Bedrock Inserts:

The new inserts are a Slingshot exclusive and are designed to offer you a solid connection to a board that still needs to flex. Slingshot use the industry-standard M6 hardware and are reinforced with light-weight, high-strength carbon fibre. With this development, Slingshot's engineers were able to define a new level of performance and durability in twin tip construction. The insert pull strength is increased by 30%, while the overall board weight is cut by 10%
