Description

The Duotone Rebel D/LAB 2026 stands as the definitive choice for serious big air enthusiasts. This high-performance freeride kite combines premium Aluula D/TX and Trinity TX construction to deliver commanding lift with minimal effort and uncompromising stability in demanding conditions.

Designed for riders pursuing extended hangtime and technical progression, it offers responsive control that translates rider input into precise aerial maneuvers. The kite's sophisticated engineering enables rapid ascent and sustained flight, allowing you to execute stylish tricks whilst maintaining complete confidence.

Whether maximising personal performance or exploring the limits of big air riding, the Rebel D/LAB provides the responsive feedback and reliable stability required for advanced progression.

Purpose-built for elevated big air performance, the Rebel D/LAB grants riders the capability to sustain impressive flight duration whilst executing refined aerial manoeuvres with poise. Responsive lift generation demands minimal bar input, facilitating effortless ascent and commanding presence in the sky. The kite's refined steering characteristics paired with rapid depower response ensure complete command throughout every manoeuvre, whilst its sophisticated bar interface delivers intuitive feedback that builds rider assurance during flight. The robust five-strut framework maintains exceptional positional consistency, even when confronted with turbulent air, empowering you to navigate the most exacting wind conditions with assured control and composure.Β

The Rebel D/LAB's optimised geometry also features a shortened chord and refined arc profile, facilitates a distinctly vertical launch trajectory whilst substantially reducing lateral displacement during takeoff, generating superior upward momentum through enhanced aerodynamic efficiency. The bridle system's pulley-free design establishes a more immediate and tactile connection between rider and kite, delivering heightened responsiveness and refined directional control. This architectural refinement enables seamless manoeuvrability with exceptional precision feedback.

Recovery dynamics are equally impressive, with the streamlined arc geometry and minimised bridle friction enabling rapid ascent following loops, thereby enhancing rider confidence during complex aerial transitions. Advanced Aluula D/TX construction throughout the leading edge and strut framework yields a notably lighter platform with superior torsional responsiveness, translating to more agile handling characteristics and enhanced playfulness in flight. This material innovation ensures consistent shape retention under load, facilitating precise turning authority and commanding control during demanding high-performance manoeuvres.

Rooted in the storied Rebel lineage yet reimagined for contemporary big air disciplines, the Rebel D/LAB 2026 addresses the exacting demands of modern progression. This refined platform excels across extended hangtime pursuits, board-release manoeuvres, and intricate aerial tricks, positioning itself as the instrument of choice for discerning riders. Embrace the zenith of kite performance and transcend conventional boundaries with the Duotone Rebel D/LAB 2026.

Technology
Trinity TX:

Teijin is the world’s leading supplier of polyester fabrics and sail materials to marine sports. The combined creative power of Duotone Kiteboarding saw the formulation of TRINITY TX. Exclusive to Duotone Kiteboarding, TRINITY TX is a 3x2 canopy material, which has proven to be far superior to other canopy materials in terms of durability and dynamic performance. The 3x2 yarn combination has proven to be the best solution in performance as well as durability, overall superior to any 2x2 or 4x4 yarn solutions. TRINITY TX. Made to stand the test of time.

Modern Trailing Edge Design:

A narrower trailing edge and a lighter combination of materials to reduce wear and to create a slicker kite profile.

Kook Proof Connectors:

The kook proof line connection points prevent accidents by guaranteeing that you cannot accidentally connect your lines incorrectly when rigging your kite.

Anti Snag:

The Anti Snag webbing is preventing the lines from tangling around the tip of the kite. Waterstarts are made easier and safety is increased.

Control Bar
Duotone Trust Control Bar System:

Riders of all levels, from pros to newcomers, will all gain substantial advantages from the new Duotone Trust Bar system.

Safety - perform all moves with safety leash
Water Start - without swimming
Performance - increased performance due to wider wind range

All kites can be flown with the same bar, just the short line attached in the middle of the leading edge has to be adjusted to the different kite sizes. Instructions will be attached to all bars or upgrades.

Line Length Advisor:

Different styles of riding, different kite models or the kite size can be influencing factors that require different line length.

In order to further increase this synergy effect the 19 and 22 m lines come now on a medium bar (49 / 42 cm) and the 24 and 27m lines on a large bar (53 / 46 cm).

The bar is the riders’ first point of contact with the kite. In order to achieve a maximum in comfort of riding it is essential to match the kite and the riders’ style of riding to the correct line length.

19m (70% Handling / 30% Power)

Super fast and reactive tuning speeds, shorter lines are best for extreme freestyle and crazy kiteloops. They are also excellent for wave riding, where kite turning speed is important. Wakestyle riders like the close connection to the kite too. The disadvantage is you lose some of the low end power.

Fast and reactive turning
Extreme Freestyle, Wakestyle and Waves
Tight, super fast and hard kite loops

22m (60% Handling / 40% Power)

The favourite length for freestyle and waves! These 22m lines are still great for getting lots of speed from the kite, perfect for wave riding and freestyle. Not as extreme as the 19m lines, they still lose a bit of low end power.

Reactive turning
Fast Kite Loops
Great setup for freestyle riders
Best choice for waveriding

24m (50% Handling / 50% Power)

The best choice for an all round length, good turning speed combined with good power make 24m the perfect choice for a lot of riders. Great for freeride, waves and freestyle.

Most Versatile Length
Great for all-round freeriding
Good low end and a good turning speed
Most Versatile Length
High jumps as you can β€œload” the lines
The recommended size for a one bar quiver

27m (40% Handling / 60% Power)

The extra length means extra power, get a little more range out of your quiver by adding this bar with the longer lines. They are also great for jumping as you can really β€œload” the lines when you edge and send the kite back through the window.

Enormous Low End Power
Huge Jumps
Lots of Lift

The bar is your first point of contact with the kite, It is the connection between you and your kite and it is important to get it right. And it’s actually an easy formula: The shorter the lines, the more direct and faster the kite turns. The longer the lines, the more power you can generate out of them! Choose a Duotone Trust Bar, and choose the right line set up for your style of riding.
